Our History

Established in 2020 amidst the unprecedented challenges brought forth by the COVID-19 pandemic, Deaf Heart International, Inc. was founded by a dedicated group of individuals who closely collaborated with the International Deaf Emergency (IDE) and the World Federation for the Deaf (WFD). Recognizing the pressing need for a Deaf-led organization, they embarked on a mission to address the unique hardships faced by deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals worldwide.

From its inception, Deaf Heart International, Inc. has grown exponentially, driven by a steadfast commitment to empowerment, advocacy, and humanitarian aid. Collaborating closely with IDE and WFD, we have worked tirelessly to provide critical support to deaf communities during times of crisis, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are heard on a global scale.

Our journey has been marked by significant milestones, from delivering emergency relief and essential resources in the wake of disasters to advocating for systemic change to advance the rights and inclusion of deaf individuals in all aspects of society. Through our unwavering dedication, we have become a beacon of hope, resilience, and empowerment for deaf communities worldwide.

As we continue to navigate the ever-changing landscape, our commitment remains unwavering. We envision a future where every deaf individual is embraced, empowered, and celebrated for their unique contributions to society. Together, with IDE, WFD, and our global partners, we strive to create a world where the deaf community thrives, resilient in the face of adversity, and united in pursuit of equality and inclusion.
